In order to ensure the safety of both Clients and Employees we have a dedicated Health and Safety Department. The Health and Safety Officer oversees and is responsible for the:

  • Creation and implementation of our overall Health and Safety Policy.
  • On-going Health and Safety training of our landscaping and grounds maintenance teams.
  • Supporting and ensuring we maintain our many Accreditations and Memberships.
  • To ensure that every project is fully Risk Assessed and reported before commencing any work.

This provides the foundations to deliver the highest levels of quality and safety in the industry.

Risk Assessments

Risk Assessments form the initial stages of any work we undertake in order to ensure both our staff and those of our clients are kept as safe as possible.

The reports are created to help highlight any potential dangers and forms the basis for finding the best solutions to mitigate the risks.

By having a full time Health and Safety Department and undertaking the risk assessments we have established the framework to protect both our clients and ourselves from potential prosecution in the unlikely event of an accident.

Training

In order to maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the ever changing health and safety environment, we conduct regular in-house training of our dedicated Health and Safety Team to ensure we are up-to-date on policy and procedure.

This helps support our risk assessment stage as well as protecting both our clients and ourselves from potential danger.

Our wider Contract Teams have all been trained to the internationally recognised IOSH standard this includes, IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Health and Wellbeing, with our Senior and Executive Team having other qualifications including IOSH Leading safely, NEBOSH Gen as well as many Professional Qualifications from the Landscaping Industry.

SafeContractor

We are full members of the SafeContractor scheme which offers a highly respected a “health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites”.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)

Eco Landscapes are registered with CHAS which provide expert guidance and experience with all Health and Safety policy and issues. It further supports and enhances our credibility as a company providing peace of mind to all our client, both existing and potential, that they will be procuring high quality grounds maintenance and associated services.

Constructionline Members

Organisations in the procurement process need to have confidence and trust in the companies they engage, with regards to their Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping and Facilities Services requirements. It is for this reason that we are members of Constructionline, in order that our clients can have peace-of-mind that our services will be of the highest quality when procuring from us.

ISO Accreditations

Our clients receive the very best landscaping and grounds maintenance service, and to help to provide peace-of-mind in service delivery, we have invested in achieving the much respected ISO Accreditations. We are proud to say that we have achieved:

ISO 45001 Health & Safety

We underwent the comprehensive audit and have been successfully transitioned across from ISO 18001 to ISO 45001, joining some of the largest names in the Hard services industry.

This ongoing commitment to the international standard requires the development of the safest possible working conditions for both our staff and clients.

In addition, the ISO 45001 Accreditation supports us to reduce the risks of workplace accidents and so lower any related costs and downtime. We understand that, as Government policy has changed to include both client and supplier as being responsible for risk and accidents, this accreditation and associated risk assessments provides an additional safeguard of responsibilities.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management

Responsibility to the environment is always taken very seriously at Eco Landscapes, as it is with our clients. Many businesses require their suppliers to be ISO 14001 Accredited in order maintain their Corporate Social Responsibility and their own ISO 14001 Certificate, therefore it was vital to attain this accreditation.

The training in this area now helps us to identify our environmental impact and provides the controls and management processes to establish the best practice systems. We are also required to continuously improve our processes for sustainable waste reduction and increased efficiency.

ISO9001 Quality Management

The ISO 9001 Certificate provides the framework for us to continually improve and streamline our operations whilst helping us to reduce costs. This in turn gives us the foundations to help satisfy our customers by showing we have strong corporate governance. The processes set out in ISO 9001 means we can work effectively with both our stakeholders and supply chain.
